Candle Stick Tree - Parmenteria Cereifera 5l

Parmentiera cereifera The Candle Stick Tree is an evergreen tree growing 4-6 metres tall. It produces bizarre-looking fruit – hanging from the branches and trunk these slim, waxy, yellow-green fruits look exactly like freshly-dipped candles. The tree is cultivated in the West Indies and other tropical regions as an ornamental plant and also sometimes for its edible fruit. The fibrous fruit is juicy with a sweet flavour similar to sugar cane. It is eaten either raw or cooked.
