Cinnamon is a striking ornamental tree and the source of cinnamon spice. The Cinnamon tree has flushes of beautiful bright pink new growth. The Cinnamon spice is harvested from the inner from the branches . By scraping the outer bark, then peeling the inner bark, the inner bark curls into cinnamon sticks as it dries. The leaves from the Cinnamon tree can also be used for a cinnamon flavour added to baking or tea for a aromatic flavour.
