The Elder berry is a small deciduous shrub , the flowers and the small black berries are used to make elderberry cordials, syrups and wine. Elderberry plants can also be grown as ornamental plants in the garden. The Elder berry likes a full sun position with a well drained rich soil will provide the best results. A deciduous suckering shrub growing 3m or more.
