Mango - Fruit Punch

The Fruit Punch mango is a seedling of Zill-80 from the breeding program of Gary Zill in Boynton Beach, Florida

 

Fruit punch is an early season mango, oval in shape, medium sized and develops nice red blush colour on the skin. The flesh is yellow, very firm and fiber less, containing a monoembryonic seed.

The fruit fall under the classic-acidic group and have a limited window period where the flavour is ideal. Fruit Punch appear to be good producers, but the fruit are moderately susceptible to bacterial spot so need some care.
