Marang

The Marang fruit is similar to jackfruit in appearance with finer spines covering the fruit. This Beautifully striking tree is of South East Asian origin. The Marang fruit has an amazing aroma, the fruit is sweet, juicy and mildly flavoured. The Marang fruit flavour is often said to be superior to both Jackfruit and Chempedak. The Marang is less cold tolerant than then Jackfruit fruit and is best suited to tropical climates however growers are having success in warm subtropics microclimates free from frosts!
