Membrillo - Heaven Lotus

Membrillo - Heaven Lotus is a striking small tropical tree from Brazil known for its spectacular, fragrant flowers resembling lotus blooms.

Its large, white-and-pink petals and sweet scent create an eye-catching display with a central crown that captivates the senses. The tree features a straight, often unbranched trunk topped with a single cluster of oversized leaves, giving it a distinctive palm-like appearance.

The Tree produces rounded, pear-shaped fruit that grow directly on the trunk, a unique trait known as cauliflory. The fruit contains delicious yellowish-orange pulp that, when boiled, has a taste similar to meat. Additionally, the leaves can be boiled into a decoction traditionally used to help cure intoxication.
